Northumberland County Council have begun the process of tendering for a company to provide a new bespoke bus service for Newton on the Moor and Swarland. The service will run on two days each week with one off-peak bus each way to Morpeth on a Tuesday and Alnwick on a Thursday. The service will be in addition to the current NEED service. This follows a successful campaign by Swarland and Newton Action on Climate (SNAC) to improve public transport.
